Discover our latest innovations at METSTRADE 2024
We are excited to announce our presence at Metstrade 2024, the world’s largest and leading
The Steerable POD, a pinnacle of innovation with a maximum input power of 15.0kW and a 48V nominal voltage, ensuring optimal efficiency surpassing 90%. Experience unparalleled acceleration compared to conventional alternatives, coupled with zero-turn steering. The steerable POD is rotatable up to 320 degrees with 160 degrees both ways for ultimate manoeuvrability. All combined in a lightweight compact design.
Enjoy diverse control options with joystick, steering wheel, or CAN control. Adding to its resilience, all our POD motors are fully waterproof with an IP68 rating, achieved by completely casting the motor not by using sealings. The design also minimizes risk of damage to the propeller, perfect performance in any environment.
Mounting plates and sealing for our steerable POD motor are available in stainless steel (RVS) and fiberglass (GFK). In addition, an ECU is available. All drawings can be downloaded below in the ‘Downloads’ section.

Measuring 7.1 meters, it reaches a top speed of 13 km/h and cruises efficiently at 7.4 km/h.
The boat uses solar energy to charge its autonomous electrical system while outdoors.
Battery options are available in 14 kWh and 28 kWh. The 14 kWh battery is ideal for shorter trips or lighter energy needs, while the 28 kWh battery offers a longer range.
At a cruising speed of 9.3 km/h, this boat can cover more than 80 nautical miles on a single charge, equivalent to 148 km on land.
With an impressive cruising time of up to 15 hours and a top speed of 12 km/h, this boat is perfect for those who want to sail with complete peace of mind.
– Technically the motor could be used with any battery as long as this can provide the necessary power. However, we are able to offer one of the lowest prices per Watt-hour available. – Lithium batteries offer more performance per unit of weight then lead-acid batteries. – In case you are not convinced by RDT batteries, we still advise to contact your dealer/service point to make sure the correct batteries are selected.
– All materials are carefully selected to maintain optimal performance and endurance. However, this requires the use of an anode to protect the motor. For additional instructions please see the manual of the motor.
– Our sales team/engineers are able to work with you to select the right motor. With first hand knowledge of use cases and on our experiences we can be sure to advise the correct motor.
– Installing a rim drive motor is relatively easy and can if desired be delivered configured as a plug and play system. For more detailed information on the installation, please see the manual of the motor.
– For an overview between the motors, please see the comparison matrix within our Service Centre.
